It is unavoidable to hear some negative side regarding a business especially if its policies have been misunderstood. Verily, it is very easy to believe the accusations of dishonesty especially if these people didn't know a thing or two about the real score. Before accepting accusations or complaints, it is best to investigate the story to see if these claims are even true.
Every person that signs up as a sales representative for Crescent will receive a free Dell laptop. Salespeople know that it is an important device to effectively promote the business. Moreover, they use this to document the particulars of the meeting with the parties that may avail of the company's services.
It also allows for faster processing of transactions that have pushed through. However, these marketers need to present an upfront fee of 0 prior the receipt of the said device. Although it is true that 0 is asked from the agents, it is not meant as payment for the computer.
Independent agents should use these laptops, and may not conduct presentations or process transaction on their own device. It has been made clear from the start that a Crescent representative is forbidden from using their own electronic devices for presentations and documentations. This amount will be deducted on the first few sales that the sales agent earns.
Yet, some still allege that it is to pay for the Dell device. As said before, 0 is used as a guarantee for the use of the device. Any agent who wishes to terminate the contract with Crescent will receive the 0 back in full.
One bone of contention for many are the list of prospective clients that are given to agents. Every new sales agent is provided with a list of sales leads that he is expected to meet or visit. All the leads are valid appointments that should be confirmed twice and Crescent sets up the meeting between the agent and business owner.
What's wrong with this is that these leads are ineffectual. However, what they don’t understand is that the leads are only a mere meet-up and that it is their responsibility as sales agents to market the product and sell it. While the company does give leads, it is always up to the agent to close the sale.
The giving of sales leads can be considered as an extra mile for the company to help agents get a deal. In such situations, the agents look for their own leads. To be honest about it, Crescent has put a lot of effort in helping these agents get the head start that they need.
It is unfair to accuse the company that they are pinching funds from businesses. As with online transactions, it is important to check and double check the identity of both buyer and seller. Thus, it coordinates with the concerned seller to validate if there was indeed a transaction between the two.
Simply put, what had happened are just the results of some people's over reactions and overactive imagination regarding Crescent's way of handling the business. The allegations coming from false information are simply not true. Misunderstanding, without taking time and effort to clarify things can indeed do a certain amount of damage to the reputation of the company.
